Knowledge Management Research Specialist
Prestigious Newark law firm seeks an experienced Knowledge Management Research Specialist with previous law library experience preferred.
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:
MLIS preferred but not required;
Experience using Westlaw and LexisNexis software;
Skill in developing training plans and conducting training sessions;
Strong legal research skills; strong analytical, written, and oral communications skills;
Skill in using various office software products including word processing, spreadsheet, email, and Adobe.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides research and reference services for attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff;
Participates in collection development by evaluating and recommending the addition of print and digital information resources;
Experience using an integrated library system (EOS) and bibliographic utilities such as OCLC;
Provide directional and ready reference services to library users;
Resource maintenance activities (collection development, custom user interfaces, etc.);
Conduct user research training;
Perform other related duties and assignments as required;
Coordinate interlibrary loans involving print materials;
Create and maintain alerts for specific subjects, clients, pending legislation, etc.
