Job Qualifications:
The Temple University Libraries seek a creative, experienced, and user-centered individual to serve as Reference Librarian for Government Information and African American Studies. Temple’s federated library system serves an urban research university with over 1,800 full-time faculty and a student body of 38,000 that is among the most diverse in the nation. Required Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in Library Science (ALA accredited).
Required Skills and Abilities:
*Demonstrated academic library reference experience.
*Knowledge of government information.
*Demonstrated organizational skills and evidence of successful project management.
*Proficiency in the use of traditional and electronic resources and adoption of technology tools.
*Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
Preferred:
*Familiarity with African-American studies.
*Instruction experience.
