Global Records and Information Manager

This position is responsible for supporting the continued implementation of the Global Ethics & Compliance Records & Information Management (RIM) program.  The candidate should be hands-on in all aspects of the Records Management lifecycle.  

Responsibilities include:
Program implementation of policy, procedures, and standards
Partner and work closely with Legal, IT, Finance, Human Resources, Communications and other business functions to implement the RIM program worldwide, including providing direction on project work and assistance with localization in areas where appropriate
Implementation and maintenance of records management systems
Implementation and maintenance of records retention schedules
Maintenance of ESI data map
Maintenance of process to address legacy data
Assist and manage RIM related training
Liaison with IT on RIM technology projects
Administer and assist employees with physical records tracking system
Track and assist with facility relocations in relation to records
Implementation of the Global RIM program

Provide subject matter expertise to the Global Legal Organization and business colleagues with respect to electronic records, physical records, legacy data and best practices.
Implement and maintain records retention schedules.  This includes working with external vendors on the development of the schedules, managing translations of the schedules, working with the regions and local markets to implement the schedules, and tracking changes to the schedules.
Implement, maintain, and administer the legal hold system.  This includes implementation and of the system, providing support as a system admin, liaison with   the vendor and IT on any issues, and working with the lawyers to track and maintain the legal hold process.
Maintain the ESI data map by working with system owners.
Assist in the management of physical and electronic records.
Assist in maintaining the program's infrastructure, including working with records coordinators, tracking, training, and partnering with Legal, IT, Finance, Human Resources, Communications and other business functions to maintain this infrastructure.
Manage and update the RIM Intranet, this may include providing content or recommendations for the site.
Support any necessary development or revisions of RIM policies and procedures.

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Archive Service Product Manager, the Systems Librarian will work to formulate, direct and implement the collection management and holdings research and development agenda.  The Systems Librarian will work closely with the Content Management systems team in specifying and designing holdings management software.

Primary Responsibilities                                  
 •Conduct original research, including the development of holdings and collection management tool sets;
•Identify and implement advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms and tools to assist in holdings and collection management;
•Work closely with all projects that work with content preserved in the Portico archive (e.g., be a technical contact for external organizations receiving copies of preserved content, develop tools to extract content from the archive, design tools to report on the status of the archive, etc.);

DESCRIPTION:
The Department of the Library, at the College of Staten Island, seeks applicants for appointment to a tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor - Acquisitions Librarian. This position is anticipated to begin in October 2012. The successful candidate will coordinate and manage the library acquisitions budget to acquire library materials in all formats, including print and electronic monographs, online databases, serials, multimedia, furniture, and supplies; track expenditures for all fund sources; and maintain and compile statistics for assessment surveys and quarterly budget reports. The Acquisitions Librarian will serve in a leadership role in collection development activities including assessment, selection, resource trials, and outreach to faculty; monitor long-term collection development commitments such as approval plans, serial subscriptions, patron-driven acquisitions, and electronic purchases vs. leasing programs. This individual will establish and maintain effective vendor relations and will serve as the liaison to the College's Purchasing and Accounts Payable departments. In addition, this position is responsible for working with the Office of Institutional Advancement to facilitate the receipt of gifts to the Library, including occasional off-campus review and collection of materials. The successful candidate is expected to provide reference and research assistance to library users and to pursue an active and productive academic agenda through scholarly publication, grant writing, and participation in professional conferences.

Qualification Requirements:
Minimum

1.A master’s degree from an accredited college in a field related to the position and three (3) years of full-time progressively responsible professional experience in education administration in one (1) or more education-related areas, at least eighteen (18) months of which must have been in an managerial capacity; or
 2.Graduation from an accredited college with a baccalaureate degree and four (4) years of full-time progressively responsible professional experience, as described in “1”; or
 3.A satisfactory combination of education and/or experience which is equivalent to “1” or above including teaching experience towards meeting the general experience in “1” above; however, all candidates must have 18 months of managerial experience.

Preferred

 •Minimum of five (5) years of experience in marketing and/or communications.
 •Experience working with education policy, schools or school districts.
